JOINING INSTRUCTIONS PG COURSE
1. COURSE DURATION. The
duration of the Course is two years.
2. DATE OF REPORTING FOR ADMISSION
AND ACTION TO BE TAKEN. You are required to report to the Director / Registrar of
this Institute on 11 Aug 2008 at 10.00 am along with the following certificates
in original and two sets of Xerox copies :-
(i)
Graduation or equivalent
marks card.
(ii)
10th Class marks
card.
(iii)
Transfer Certificate.
(iv)
Migration certificate (For Non Karnataka state students)
(v)
Birth Certificate, if
proof have not been submitted.
(vi)
Character Certificate of good moral character from last School /
Institute attended.
(vii) 16 Colour
Pass port size
photographs & 10 Stamp size
colour photographs.
(viii) Dependent card
vide Army Order No 74 / 75, 120 / 80 (Army personnel ward only).
3. HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION. Accommodation will be made available on
Campus for boys and girls separately on first cum first basis. The students
who require hostel accommodation should send Demand Draft in favour “Army
Institute of Fashion and Design”, payable at Bangalore
for Rs.27,500/-(for boys) and Rs 23,900/-(for Girls) separately on or before 31 Jul 2008. (DDs to be made separately for the Hostel
and Institution fee).
4. PAYMENT OF INSTITUTE FEES / DEPOSITS. As per rules, the student
will have to pay the balance of fee (Rs.87,000/- - less advance paid) for Army students and Rs 1,01,750/- for
civilians/other defence establishment students (ref Para 35 of Prospectus) on
or before 31 Jul 2008 to the Institute by DD. Admission to the Institute will
not be granted without paying the Institute fees/Deposits. University fees will be collected from the
student on 11
Aug 2008 at the time
of joining. Hence student should
carry Rs.3, 000/- towards the University fee while reporting to Institute on 11 Aug 2008. Institute and Hostel Fees once paid will not be refunded.
5. INABILITY TO REPORT ON DUE DATE
FOR THE COURSE. In
case due to unavoidable circumstances, you are not in a position to report to
this Institute on due date ie, on 11 Aug 2008, your parent / guardian /
representative should report to this Institute with necessary documents
/certificates and take all decisions pertaining to admission. Performa for letter of authority is
attached as Appendix ‘A’ to the instructions. If you or your parent /
guardian /representative do not report to this Institute on the due date,
your candidature will be cancelled and no representation will be entertained
in this regard. Requests for
extension of joining date will not be accepted under any circumstances /
reasons whatsoever. However, the
candidates, who are deputing their parents /guardians / representatives are
required to report to this Institute on 11 Aug 2008 and the candidate should
report to the Institute on 12 Aug 2008.
6. DISCIPLINE.
You are expected to conduct yourself strictly as per norms and code of
conduct of this Institution. In case
you are found lacking in discipline or fail to abide by the rules and
regulations of the Institute, action will be taken as per the AWES rules.
7. CLOTHING. Bangalore
has moderate climate round the year.
You are, therefore, not required to bring heavy winter clothing. However students likely to stay in the
hostel are required to bring the following items :-
(a) Bed Sheets - Four
(b) Blanket - One
(c) Pillow Covers - Two
(d) Bed Covers Sober Design - Two
(e) Hangers - Six
(f) Bath Towels - Two
Note :- Students will be
provided steel Almirah, Table,
Chair, Single Cot with bed & Pillow.
11. HOSTEL CHARGES. The
details of hostel charges for boys and girls are attached at Appendix B.
12. BANKING FACILITIES. The
students will be required to open an account in any local Bank at Bangalore
within two days after admission to this Institute. Cash transactions are not
permitted for payment of the Institute and the Hostel dues.
The Institute has arrangement with Vijaya Bank for opening of Students account.
13. LOCAL
GUARDIANS. The students who are admitted to Hostels will be allowed
to spend only weekends/gazetted holidays
with their local guardian residing in Bangalore
as per rules. For this purpose, you
are required to bring a letter of consent in duplicate, duly signed by your
parent /guardian giving address of the local guardian. You may note that one local guardian is
permitted. The Performa to be completed in duplicate by the parent of the
students is given in Appendix ‘C’ attached.
The Performa should be completed and handed over to the Institute on
the day of joining.
14. BOARDING AND LODGING ARRANGEMENT TILL
ADMITTED TO THE INSTITUTE / HOSTEL. You are advised to make your own
arrangements for yourself and your
parents/guardian on arrival at Bangalore till you are finally admitted to the

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS
B.Sc., (FAD) LATERAL
ENTRY – IIIrd SEMESTER
1. COURSE DURATION. The duration of the Course
is three (two) years. The course is affiliated to
Bangalore University.
2. DATE
OF REPORTING FOR ADMISSION AND ACTION TO BE TAKEN. You are
required to report to the Principal / Registrar of this Institute on 21 Jul
2008 at 10.00 am along with the
following certificates in original and two sets of Xerox copies: -
